Position: Sr.SQL Server DBA

Location: Corning NY

Duration: 6-12 month

 

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA who preferably has some Oracle experience as well. 

 

Skills:  Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2005 AND Oracle 10G

Skill Level:  High for SQL Server and Intermediate to High for Oracle

 

For SQL Server specifically

- TSQL- ability to wrote complex SQL server stored procedures and Transaction control statements

- Analysis services, Business Intelligence, OLAP and Data Mart

- Designing systems for high availability -SQL 2005 Clustering, Log shipping

- Data Warehouse maintenance and Warehouse support

- Reporting services

- Replication Strategies and sound understanding in Transactional Replication

- SQL-2005 MSDBA Certification

 

For Oracle specifically:  Experience with RAC, Clustering, Failover and Standby, Performance & Tuning.  Operating systems utilized - Windows and Linux required.  Tru64 experience a plus.  Serviceguard experience a plus.  Use and/or implementation of Grid Diagnostic, Tuning, Change Management & Configuration Packs a plus.
