Position: Share Point Developer/ Architect
Duration: 12 months


Responsible for the architecture, design, and development of all
current & future SharePoint websites. Works closely with the business
and with vendors in developing new applications/systems/ objects and
enhancements to existing applications/systems/objects, on both
internal and external facing websites. Also responsible for senior
level support and maintenance of existing SharePoint applications/
systems/objects.

Role Summary: This position is part of the web team interacting with
business groups, external web providers, and the Communications group.
Primary responsibilities include designing & developing all site
structures, enhancing and maintaining all SharePoint sites, portals
and related information.

Lead the effort to gather requirements for new SharePoint projects or
enhancements and document them in the form of a functional/technical
specification.
Create technical designs that adhere to architecture standards and
guidelines and document them in the form of a functional/technical
specification.
Develop technical objects that adhere to standards and guidelines
with consideration given to readability, optimal performance,
maintainability, automated error handling, etc.
Lead the team in creating detailed requirements, design, and code
walkthroughs to ensure maximum use of reusable modules, minimal impact
on existing applications and systems, the highest possible overall
quality, etc.
Lead testing efforts by conducting rigorous unit testing and assisting
in the set up and execution of integration/UAT test scenarios.
Thoroughly document and review change controls so that objects can be
migrated to QA, UAT, and production environments with the fewest
possible errors.
Provide level 3 support for production applications. This may include
a rotating on-call schedule outside of normal working hours.
Complete regular status reports, accounting for time spent on each
project and activity/task.
Identify training requirements and opportunities and devise an annual
individual training plan for both this position and other team
members.
Lead the ongoing knowledge transfer sessions to less qualified
employees to ensure that there are multiple resources with knowledge
of each system, application, object, etc., within SharePoint.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or information systems or 5-7 equivalent
business experience is required.
5-7 years in the following:
Designing and building SharePoint infrastructure and applications
Administering and maintaining SharePoint Servers and applications
I.T. support & design experience in web design, development or maintenance.
Experience in requirement gathering for software development projects
Business experience that includes working closely with IT in the
development and implementation of medium to large-scale integrated
systems.
Ability to lead a team of business users and I.T. professionals on a project.
Previous experience in business process reengineering or process
improvement involving broad-based information systems and utilizing
tools and techniques to effect business change.
Previous experience with relational databases and web based languages.
Knowledge of Microsoft IIS would be especially helpful.
Previous experience with relational databases and SQL (Structured
Query Language).
Previous experience with procedural and object-oriented programming languages.
Strong technical writing skills with an emphasis on proper grammar.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate
with all management levels.
Strong oral communication skills and the ability to effectively
express and understand complex technical concepts.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
Mastery of basic Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Visio.
