Position: Jr. Embedded System Developer
12 Months Contract
Rate: $25/hr -$30/hr
Description:
Develops, tests and documents software programs including operating systems, applications and network products. Combines Software Operations Systems Engineering and Software Applications.
General
*Entry level (B1) to mid level (B3)
*Minimum BS or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic and/or Computer Engineering
*Course work and/or experience with Embedded Systems
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*Must be able to work in a team environment as well as tackling individual tasks
Position will involve the design, writing and support of device drivers for embedded systems or the programming of hardware in embedded systems. The candidate will need to understand hardware operation and be capable of understanding and debugging hardware/firmware interaction.
*Candidate must be proficient in C programming language
*Working knowledge of Linux
*Should be familiar with scripting languages
*Knowledge of Assembly language is a plus
*Understanding of subversion/make/bugzilla is a plus
*Understanding of hardware schematics is helpful
*Ability to use various emulation, simulations and debug tools/equipment (such as QEMU, logic analyzer, oscilloscope, etc)
