Senior QA Engineer with Ruby Tools Experience

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our Software Quality Assurance team. The successful applicant will work with Adura's embedded firmware and enterprise software teams, the product management team, and the project operations team to design and execute system-level testing of Adura's wireless lighting control system. Our product set spans wireless mesh-network lighting control hardware, embedded linux-based TCP/IP gateways, enterprise energy management and control software delivered in a SaaS model, as well as windows-based and embedded deployment tools used to test and configure our lighting systems in the field. The successful applicant will have demonstrated the ability to deal with similarly broad product sets, and will have in-depth knowledge in networked product testing. This is a fulltime position. Interested candidates should be passionate about their work and always look for creative solutions to problems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

5+ years hands-on experience with test strategy, design, test case development, test case execution, and QA coordination for complex embedded and networked systems.

Experience with agile development practices and associated tools, such as Rally, CruiseControl, Ant, Make, JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.

Experience developing automated test cases using either commercial tools or custom scripts

Experience coordinating with field delivery teams and engineering in a multi-tiered escalation approach for customer issues

Experience with standard SQA methodologies, tools, and approaches (black box, white box, automated testing)

Experience in outsourced/off-shore QA resource management

BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree

Desire to be part of a fast growing cleantech company

Able to handle multiple assignments at once and remain flexible and responsive

Strong demonstrated initiative in ensuring test planning, execution, and reporting is efficient, standardized, and integrated with development engineering

Desired Skills

Experience with large scale wireless mesh network systems

Familiar with RF communication principles

Familiar with building automation and lighting control

Experience with Ruby tools and libraries for test automation

Experience with scale testing tools such as LoadRunner

Experience with automating GUI testing for both windows-based and web-based interfaces using tools such as Selenium, WinRunner, etc

Experience with embedded, enterprise, and/or web software programming in: C, C++, Ruby, PHP, Delphi, Javascript
