Job Details: | - Vendor Manager (VM) will be responsible for leading the management of Monsanto's strategic and collaborative vendors. - This role will build vendor relationships, drive operational excellence, collaborate on Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and partner with internal teams to positively impact the client-vendor experience. - The VM will have a proven background successfully managing vendors in a fast paced high volume environment. - This person will facilitate strategic vendor interactions on innovative and technological proposals—including proposals to business processes, products and services. - The primary focus will be to continue developing relationships that fosters a collaborative teaming environment amongst Monsanto and their external vendors. Responsibilities include: • Own the full cycle vendor management process including establishing a Monsanto VMO Model incorporating VMO best practices. • Champion and facilitate Monsanto's Annual Vendor Forum. • Perform vendor scorecarding and performance management. • Facilitate communication between the Vendor Relationship Manager (VRM), Monsanto's Subject Matter Expert (SME), Vendor's Account Executive (AE) and IT Procurement. • Create and ensure bi-annual updates to vendor profiles. • Coordinate, facilitate and administer the VRM Quarterly Roundtable Session. • Generate and execute quarterly vendor communication packets. • Facilitate Vendor Deep Dive and Vendor Roadmap sessions. • Develop and administer vendor guidelines and common tools/templates that collaborate and incorporate with procurement team's directive. • Review and routinely audit vendor SLAs to ensure appropriate products/services are adhered to as agreed. • Coordinate / communicate vendor training, seminar, and curriculum offerings that support Monsanto's roadmap or internal resources. • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for Vendor Management Program that drive efficiencies and relationship building.
Required Skills: • 5+ years of recent experience as a Vendor Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Operations Manager, or another related title in a fast paced environment. • Experience in implementing and executing of Vendor Management Office (VMO) practices. • Ability to form relationships with all levels within IT organization(s) internal business partners and external vendors. • Ability to influence others (both internal and external) and move toward a mutually beneficial vision or goal. • Ability to develop, present and deliver internal and external communications. • Experience building performance measurement tools for measuring vendor effectiveness. • Strong written and communications skills (especially in support of external vendor communications). • Strong analytic and decision making abilities. • Bachelor degree in Business or IT-related field. • Superior skills in PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and SharePoint.
Desired Experience: • Familiarity with project management tools and phases of the project lifecycle. • Master degree in Business or IT-related field. • PMP. • Six Sigma. • Member of IAOP. | |
