Qualifications / Skills Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
Able to work with minimal supervision
Strong customer service and conflict management skills.
Database Security & Integrity
Optimizing database access and performance
Developing & Maintaining Database Disaster Recovery Procedures
Architecting, Implementation & Monitoring of Database Maintenance Plans & Overall Instance/Database performance
Ensuring Standardized Administration practices are implemented
Ensuring all Administration Practices facilitate scalability
Provide thorough functional and technical evaluation of Database related products, as well as Database & Service Pack upgrades
Provide technical assistance to Commodity Computing & Application Teams for all production database related issues or difficulties
Develop and maintain Database Replication between Disparate Platforms
Provide Database Clustering/High Availability Support
Provide Database Technical Support for Development Teams
Mentor and coach junior team members on specific projects, as well as database administration & development practices
Handle interactions with clients and project prioritization and scheduling
Ability to multi-task
Good co-ordination and organization skills
Strong oral and written communication skills.
