Overview
* Data Migration to Salesforce.com and related custom multiple
objects.
* Data cleansing utilizing industry best practices in addition to
Demand Tools in Salesforce.com.
Scope and Objectives
The scope of this Request for Proposal addresses
* The client Network Services Corporation: salesforce.com Integration
and Automation.
Vendor will complete the following tasks:
* Migrate data to Salesforce.com and related custom multiple objects
that currently do not reside within the client's Salesforce instance. The
following Items will be included for migration:
o Accounts
o Contacts
o Address
o Tax Certificates
o Payment Terms
o Legal Entity
o Currency
o Effective Date of MSA
o Historical Account Name
o Sales Order (Master & Detail) and In-flight orders
o PO#
o Services
o Activation Dates
o Contract Start and End Dates
o Monthly Recurring & Non-Recurring
o PDF (Contract) to related list attachment
o Quotes
o Credit Check Info
o DTT
o Product Catalog
o Historical AE Information
o Commissions
o A to Z Location information
* Data cleansing utilizing industry best practices in addition to
Demand Tools in Salesforce.com including Accounts, Contacts, Leads and Other
items as needed.
* Vendor is responsible for gathering, cleansing, and consolidating
the data to be migrated from the various sources as defined above including
manual data entry as required.
* Since data discussions and planning will take place throughout the
project, especially during the pre-migration phases, Internap will assign a
decision maker and IT resource to assist in these discussions.
* Depending on the data delivery approach identified above, Internap
will help to provide guidance to Vendor and/or provide access to the
database server from which Vendor will extract the data.
* Once Vendor has completed the Data Migration and completed an
initial verification process, Internap will be responsible to verify that
the data has been correctly migrated
Assumptions:
* Vendor is going to extract the data to be migrated and also complete
manual data entry as required:
o Vendor will provide file specifications or data templates to be used
for exporting and consolidation the data. The Salesforce.com field level
configuration of the related custom multiple objects shall be completed by
the client.
o Vendor will export and consolidate the data.
o Vendor will utilize only necessary tables and/of fields for the
migration.
o If multiple tables are involved and relationships are present
between the tables, each table will include key field linking it to the
other table(s) if the records will be associated in salesforce.com.
o Vendor will complete manual data entry as required.
o The client will provide the Vendor access to the data and or data
server with necessary rights to query and extract the data.
* Vendor will include data for all required fields. Client will
provide conforming data for all pick list fields in Salesforce.com.
* If it is not possible for the client to associate records for any
set of tables (Contacts with Accounts for example), then it should be
expected that these associations will need to be made by users once the data
has been imported and the application deployed.
* The client will be actively involved to make sure requirements are
being met within estimated time.
