Position: Sr. Oracle Apps DBA

Duration: 6+ months
Location: San Jose, CA

 

 

Typical Roles and Responsibilities:

• Performance Monitoring and tuning database, concurrent  manager nodes.
• Involved in architectural, design and develop performance monitoring Portal.
  Performance assessment and Architectural review.
• Generate AWR/Statspack reports and recommend any performance improvements.
• Working with oracle SSC to escalate and work towards the solution for P1/P2 issues.
• Fix and work on any performance bottlenecks during the release cycles.
• Monitor the Load on 10g RAC nodes and take necessary action to balance the load.
• Review and suggest init.ora parameters and involve in Capacity Planning Activities.
• Lead a group of performance team and Interact with Management to discuss Critical and high Priority Issues.
• Analyze and Architect any Configuration changes in Application and Database Tiers that affect Application
  performance.
• Attend Change Management Meeting and Involve in Approval Process.
• Involved in R12 upgrade project - Patch Analysis, Performance Testing.
