Sr. Database Engineer

 

The Sr. DB Engineer/Architect position provides all aspects of Architecture, Design and Implementation for complex Oracle-based Database solutions employing Oracle RAC 10g and 11g

 

The responsibilities of this position will include, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:

 

- In-depth expertise with Oracle DBMS and Oracle RAC

- Capacity Planning, Sizing and Desing in Shared and COnsolidated Env

 

• Defining consolidation deployment methodologies and cost-effective solutions for Oracle RAC

 

• Backup/Restoration Strategies and Standards

 

• Advanced Performance tuning

 

• Advanced Troubleshooting and Problem Determination

Oracle and other Replication Technologies

 

Required skills:

 

Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate concepts

 

Superb analytical and problem solving skills

 

Excellent shell scripting skills

 

Excellent troubleshooting and problem determination skills

 

Advance Performance and SQL Tuning skills

 

Expert knowledge of Oracle and Oracle RAC 10g and 11g

Knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS and storage subsystems
