- Formal architecture and design experience of large J2EE based batch and online enterprise systems.

- Experience with providing solutions for large data sets using Oracle technologies (Experience with Oracle Grid and similar massive database technologies)

- Oracle Data Caching experience (Exadata, Coherence)

- Oracle SOA Suite

 

The ideal candidate will have experience implementing batch data solutions for large (100M+ records/day) data sets:

 

- Parallel processing experience using tools from major vendors.

- Data caching for large data sets (millions of records).

- Batch workflow and ETL

- Batch service-orientation – service processing with large data chunks (10,000+ records at a time)

- Batch Performance - strategies to reduce latency

- An understanding of bulk I/O optimizations

- A talent towards simplifying as much as possible to avoid building complex logical structures in single batch applications.

- Experience architecting services that are shared across batch and online transactional systems

- Experience architecting using the separation of concerns (read, process, write) strategy pattern for large data solutions

- Experience implementing large batch solutions in a diverse technology environment where steps in the process are implemented using various infrastructure and communication technologies provided by various vendors and out-sourcing partners

- Batch processing of various types of functions such as cleanse, match, append, validations, standardization, transformations, and derivations - experience performing the aforementioned with large (100M+ records/day) and disparate data sets
